Memorial Balloon Release

On Thursday 26th April 2007 Tuesday would have reached her 22nd birthday and in memory of her The Tuesday O’Hara Fund held a Memorial Balloon release. Baby blue and white were Tuesday’s favourite colours, it was therefore fitting that a mixture of 300 blue and white balloons were released into the sky from the end of Eastbourne Pier and simultaneously balloons were released in Glasgow, Scotland and Havana, Cuba, This was a fundraising event. where people could write a message on a balloon for loved ones they had lost and make a small donation to the fund.
Sue O’Hara, mother of Tuesday said “It was wonderful to see such support for our much loved daughters charity and we will continue to keep her name alive through events such as these. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in making the event such a success”

The Memorial Balloon release saw an amazing revelation whilst the event was taking place. Many people were taking photographs of the balloons in the sky and a cloud in the shape of an angel was spotted. This was very significant, as her mother Sue had written a poem the previous week called “Angel in the sky” to place on the website www.gonetoosoon.co.uk on Tuesday’s birthday.
These photographs were then printed and then shown at a memorial party..
Frank O’Hara, father of Tuesday said “Quite often people talk about seeing pictures in the clouds and others look at them at different angles, but still can not see anything there. This time it was different everyone saw the same thing straight away and we believe it was our daughter letting us know she is looking down on us and watching what we are doing to keep her name alive through The Tuesday O’Hara Fund.”
The pictures taken on the day are attached and I am sure you will agree that there is an angel in the sky
